Recycling - The Rules

Belle Oak Villas HOA is proud to help the planet in anyway and encourages  people to recycle as much as they can.
However, an increasing problem is people refusing to read the guidelines on what can and cannot be put into the blue bins located on each street.
We have been WARNED that continued missuse will result in our bins being removed. PLEASE follow the guidelines below to ensure that responsible members of our community can continue to recycle.
WHEN IN DOUBT….PUT IT IN THE DUMPSTER….PLEASE!

  • NO Plastic Bags, Publix bags, Zip-Lock bags etc. If you use bags to store your items for the blue bins then empty them and place the bags in the dumpster OR in the Doggie Bag wooden boxes for people to use to pick up after their pets.
  • NO Pizza delivery boxes. The cardboard is contaminated with food.
  • NO take-out/delivery food containers. This includes straws & drink containers.
  • PLEASE breakdown cardboard boxes. If there is no room, keep them for the following week. DO NOT stand items on top or next to the bins THEY WILL NOT pick them up.
  • NO “Molded” plastic.
  • NO plastic that is not a bottle or a jug.
  • No Styrofoam.
  • NO material or item smaller than a hockey puck, regardless of what it is made out of.
  • PLEASE remove caps from bottles and jugs & rinse before placing in bins.
