Community Watch

On March 20, 2019, the Largo Police Department executed a narcotic search warrant on Capistrano Court. The search resulted in the arrest of the resident on 15 felony charges, including possession of controlled substances with intent to sell, operating a drug house, and resisting arrest. The resident remains in jail, awaiting trial.

The successful outcome was the result of a united effort between Largo Police officers and detectives, and residents of Belle Oak Villas. In the months leading up to the arrest, Largo patrol officers quickly responded to numerous calls (approx. 35 from 1/1 to 3/20 alone) from residents related to drugs, suspicious activity, and disturbances, and made narcotic arrests on people leaving the residence as well.

Criminal activity in Belle Oak Villas will not be tolerated!. We have a Neighborhood Watch Committee made up of residents who have volunteered to be block captains for most of our streets. But each of us has to do our part. Get to know your neighbors, be observant. Learn what’s normal, and report it when you see something that isn’t. The number for the Largo Police Department is (727) 587-6730. If in doubt, contact your Neighborhood Watch block captain if your street has one. Together we can keep our neighborhood a safe, clean place to live and play!

Neighborhood Watch

Hello Neighbors:

Just a reminder that we will have one of your neighbors stopping by your home, within the next few weeks, to introduce themselves as the Neighborhood Watch Captain on your street.

We are very lucky to  have so many people volunteer their time to get to meet their neighbors and explain how this program will work, please help.

They will just ask a few questions such as best way to contact you if an emergency arises.

Please remember call the police 727.587.6730 if you see something, do not call your Captain until you have called the police they are not going to be able to make the call. All neighbors can help by keeping their porch lights on from dusk to dawn.Report anything suspicious to the Largo Police Department  727.587.6730
