Herbicide Spraying

As you should by now be aware (Summer Newsletter) general spraying of weed killer around trees and bushes has been stopped.
Unfortunately, the persistent complaints of ONE owner, who maintained his pet was poisoned by weed killer (which has been used in this community without incident for over 20 years) lead to facing additional costs when spraying was done (by a Contractor) with additional flagging and notifications required. This is (your) money which The HOA felt could be better spent.

This does mean that areas around trees and bushes will become overgrown with weeds.

However, The HOA has decided that weed killer will be sprayed around the pool areas so that these areas do not become overgrown and remain an attractive area in the community.

Spraying of Spectracide weed killer will take place during the last week of each month and will be done by our own maintenance staff. As with any of these types of product they are deemed safe for pets when dry. The exact day will be dependent on weather conditions.

We have not noticed many (if any) dog owners who take their pets up into the bush areas around each pool but you should be aware these areas are best avoided and there are plenty of common areas for dog walks. The grass will not be sprayed.
