Hurricane Dorian

As you should already be aware Hurricane Dorian is making it’s way towards Florida. As always, where it makes landfall is unpredictable but indications are it will make landfall on the east coast and move across Florida. How close it comes to us is, as yet, unknown.

We would be grateful if ALL OWNERS can prepare for the high probability of strong winds. Please make sure all items which could be blown around are removed from the front and back area of your Villas. Patio furniture, tables, plant pots etc can become a danger if they start to blow around the neighborhood. It is better to prepare NOW than spend next week trying to find your patio chairs.

If you need assistance with your own items or know of neighbors who are away and may have loose items in their yard please contact us and we will try to organize some help.

Update Weds 5pm: – The path has shifted slightly south at landfall on the east coast of Florida for early Monday.
Update Thurs 5am: – Some models showing a more southern entry to Florida on Monday, taking a couple of days to move across the State. Strength of wind in Bay Area still unpredictable.
Update Fri:The Bay Area less concerned now about hurricane force winds. Our biggest issue, will be heavy rains and flooding. we could see tropical storm force winds, (Based on the current track) but heaviest will be inland and the slow motion of the storm will weaken it rather quickly before arriving in our area. Still, power outages are possible from Monday through Wednesday.
Update Sat PM: – Local weather experts seem confident that The Bay Area will see little impact but a
s always, things can change. Please keep an eye on your TV for updates through the week-end and into next week.
